Attention Toshiba Telephony Customers

Dear Toshiba Customer:

According to our records, at one point Gateway Telnet supported your Toshiba telephone equipment. We don't know the status of that system, because we don't have a support agreement with you however, as your trusted advisor, it is our responsibility to communicate with you when events take place in the business technology community.

Last week, we received a letter from Toshiba Telecommunications Systems Division informing the dealer network that "Toshiba Corporation has deemed it necessary to wind down it's US, Canada and Mexico Telecom divisions as part of its global restructure."

As you may imagine the news was completely unexpected and a surprise to the industry. Toshiba Communications Division has been one of the most popular selling Telephony providers since 1975 and was a major player however, Technology changed the last few years and while Toshiba tried, they were unable to keep up with the technology curve.

Now is certainly the time to discuss how technology can be a benefit to your company. New technology in voice systems has brought many more capabilities to make you and your company more productive.
